Zamzar – free online file conversion
Have you ever had a Windows Media Player file (.wmv) and needed it in Quicktime (.mov) format, so you could edit it in iMovie? Or maybe just the opposite, if you’re on a Windows machine. Have you ever had an image that you need in a different format? How about a document?
Zamzar does this and more!
In fact, it recently added the capability to convert videos directly from sites such as YouTube and Google Video! Now you can take a video you’ve seen on YouTube, and save it to your hard drive, and avoid problems with your school’s network, or problems with students seeing inappropriate content.
It’s a very easy interface:
Step 1: Select the file or URL to convert (up to 100MG)
Step 2: Choose the format to convert it to.
Step 3: Provide an email address (You will get an email with a link to download your converted file.)
Step 4: Convert!
And lickety-split! Your file is converted. Free, versatile, and super-easy to use. Check it out!
