Richardson-Book Review

I just finished reading Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, and Other Powerful Web Tools for Classrooms, by Will Richardson, and I must recommend it to all of you!!!

It is absolutely incredible how Richardson puts it all so clearly and persuasively! I’m ready to give a presentation on blogs, wikis, podcasting, and such more than ever before. (OK, maybe it’ll take some more prep, but I’m certainly motivated!)

He goes through the technical “how-to” enough so the reader isn’t overwhelmed with “HOW do I get started with this?”, but gives plenty of pedagogy and curriculum applications, so the reader has a very clear, solid answer about “WHY SHOULD I get started with this?”

I plan to look through the book again and make a list of my favorite classroom applications that he shares for HOW/WHY to use blogs, wikis, and podcasting in the classroom. I’ll share that list here when it’s ready…
